Yeah, that’s right, my eight year old daughter uses the word “exploiting” without prompting.

And that’s why you talk to them like they’re real people and not babies. Because otherwise she might have said something stupid, like “It’s using the movie for something that it was not meant to be used for.”

Pu-lease. We must be nothing if not precise.

Like…can’t they be sexy AND wear appropriate athletic attire? You don’t see Danica Patrick in a teddy at her Nascar races. She saves that for the SI swimsuit issue…

Although, wait…okay, then you take a look at this slideshow. I mean, that’s what I wore when I played volleyball in high school (minus the shoulder pads). I guess it depends on whether not having real football equipment will make the game more or less lame. Hell, female lacrosse players don’t wear a ton of gear (although, for the record, the public image of female lacrosse players is that they are all lesbians, which is not, I think, the image that the “lingerie league” wants to propagate); they just get the shit beat out the them. So if these ladies are willing to get regular black eyes and lose a tooth or two now and again, I guess I change my original pronouncement.
