goin’ to the chapel… January 30, 2008
Dina got married today…to Eli! I know, I know. They’ve had their differences, but I guess he’s finally come around to seeing that if the Queen Bee wants you, it’s inevitable. As for Dillon, she says they’re still on good terms, but the age gap was just too much. They never saw each other, when they did they didn’t really have anything to talk about, the usual.
By the way, if the above sounds funny, partially it is, but the part that I find more interesting is that what I just said is a very faithful restatement of Dina’s own perception, and how uncannily similar these events, circumstances, and emotions are to most relationships grown adults find themselves in. Supporting my theory that cognitive development after about age five is all just icing on the cake. Or, for some, gilding on the lily.
