I’ve found myself in somewhat of a LTR with a girl from another state. She’s really terrific, a girly-girl and is interested in hearing my thoughts on the partnerships that solid relationships should be founded on. I could go into my shpiel about how relationships (of any kind) are an agreement for both parties to make the experience wonderful for themselves and the other party. Blah blah blah, you’ve already heard it.
So I’m not sarging as much. However, this is also due to the fact that I can’t find someone to sarge outside of Lincoln Park. The girls between Old Town and Lakeview are great - smart, pretty, wealthy and just enough low self-esteem to play groupie. The one’s I’ve been in relationships (some of them being very consumable) have been great, but we’ve moved on. Everyone else is either a user or a pleaser. And the pleasers are worse because their happiness depends so much on yours. That never adds up.
Finding a girl is not a problem, finding the right one is. I’ve done the powertrip thing - picking girls up at bars, bringing them home, enjoying a few dates; rinse and repeat. No one has ever complained to me or been deceived. Everyone has had a blast - including me. My birthday party this year is going to be amazing.
But I’m done with the sport aspect of it. It’s time to really focus the skills on finding the kind of girl I (think) I want. She’s not married (although some great stories there) or still in school or embarrassed of her own sexuality. She’s as much of a rock star as I try to be. Or even more…
The kind of girls I’m interested in are a little bit West of the normal hangout zones - the Wicker Park/Bucktown/Ukranian Village/Logan Square girls. The rockers, covered in opinions, nose piercings and tattoos. Artists at heart although they may work as consultants or bankers during the days, but at night the can send people under the table. I’ve spent most of my life being the quirky dresser or the creative type - now I want a girl that makes my non-mainstreamness look mainstream. Those girls are hot. And I’ve always been attracted to them - Adrienne was one of those.
Someone sarge with me outside of LP - and if you’re a woman who reads this and isn’t afraid of those neighborhoods, let’s go on an adventure. I promise I won’t sarge you AND I’ll help you meet a nice rocker boy.
LOVE,
-EATS

I am currenlty busy with Adam Carolla — you will just have to wait for your date.
Awesome. Adam Carolla was really big about 10 years ago. And now that he’s 41 and married, I’m sure you could get some time on his schedule.
I’m not in the business of waiting for what-could-be, but I can add you to the line-up when you’re comfortable.
